Practice Nurse (f)

The Practice Nurse is responsible for asthma clinics, blood pressure clinics, diabetes and heart disease clinics. She can also offer advice on weight management, diet and many other health-related issues including smoking cessation. She also takes blood, administers travel vaccinations, administers adult vaccinations, runs specific immunisation programmes for patients over 65 years and patients with a specific illness, dresses wounds, and removes stitches.

She works in the practice on Monday and Friday. Appointments can be arranged by telephoning the practice on 0141 429 0913. Please note that the previously available open access (no appointments required/first come, first served) clinic has been discontinued. We found that this sometimes led to excessively long waits for patients.

There will be no practice nurse in the surgery on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If any patient needs dressings or suture removal on those two days, we have access to the Health Centre treatment room nurses. Please speak to our reception staff if you need access to the treatment room services.
